SKIN AND COAT

Both the skin and coat have a variety of protective functions within your dog. These range from providing an enclosed physical barrier for the rest of the body, to immunological defences against bacteria and toxins attempting to enter the body from the outside world. The skin is the main organ through which the body interacts with the environment. It protects the body by limiting water loss to the environment.
