Feeding Recommendation

The recommended daily amounts should be adjusted according to weather conditions (more will be consumed in cold weather if the dog lives outside), the animal’s level of activity and its physical condition. Clean, fresh water should be available at all times. The product should be stored in a dry and clean place at ambient temperature.

Use the table to identify the amount to feed your dog. Use the column on the right if your dog needs to maintain his current weight. Since your dog is an individual, whose needs may vary from the average based on breed, age, activity, temperature and individual metabolism, you may need to adjust the daily amount up or down by 10 to 15%.

If your dog is already somewhat over ideal weight, you can help him achieve a safe rate of weight loss by following these guidelines. Use the column on the left if your dog needs to lose some weight. For overweight dogs, adjust as needed to achieve a rate of weight loss of about 2 to 4% of his body weight per month.
